Ad Blocking

Astra ships with content blocking enabled out of the box. You do not need to hunt for extensions or tweak hidden settings to get a cleaner browsing experience from day one.

The built-in blocker targets intrusive ads, third-party trackers, and other disruptive page elements that slow pages down and follow you across the web. It is based on established filter lists used by the open-source blocking community.

You can adjust blocking levels, allowlist specific sites, and manage exceptions through Astra's settings. If a page breaks because of blocking, you can temporarily disable protection for that site without uninstalling anything.

Unlike browsers that leave ad blocking to third-party extensions, Astra includes protection as a core part of the product — fewer moving parts, fewer permissions to grant, and one less thing to configure.
